One For the Books

STRONGBAD HAS OUT-DONE HIMSELF!!

His modern-day metaphorical commentary about noise-makers, their rise to stardom, how they sell-out, how they are idolized, how they fade into obscurity and are then copied for generations is a pure work of art.

I’m not even going to say anything else about it. Just click the link above, turn up your speakers, and enjoy. Three cheers for Strongbad, the satirical hero of American consumers and pop-culture has-beens.

I thought the teen girl squad tenthenial was nice.

I've been a s.b. fan for over two years now. |

"...And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIIIGHT!!!"

I've been a fan for just over two years myself. I love the fact that it's obscure enough that only a small fraction of people really know what I'm talking about when I reference him. I walk the fine line of promoting him without creating mass market flooding. :)

I'd never forgive myself if my blog was the reason Strongbad became mainstream. |

I've never been able to get into Strongbad. This parody was pretty good, but something about the show just doesn't click with me. Then again, I'm the only guy in the room that hasn't shaved my head yet either. ;-D |

Dan, Dannnn-Dandandan. Tch. Not a strongbad fan? How can it be? Surely it is because you lack exposure? I can't imagine anyone not liking SB. Who can watch "Here comes the Thnickerman!" without crying tears of joy??

    Maybe I was a sheltered child. :-D

I supposed others have followed along and know the characters better than I do. I've only seen strongbad when someone email's me a specific episode. Its usually like dropping into the middle of a story.

V-Word: "Yhefzxr" - probably the name of the funniest Strongbad character. ;-) |

Ah, but you can go back and watch all the SB cartoons one at a time, that's the beauty of it. I was completely up to speed in one weekend of occasional viewing on a high-speed connection.

Now I can do the voices and the catch phrases with all my friends! |

How many Reverends are there? James Jackson (black crown on white background) and now there is Jackson James?

    I smell a post a' comin. |

daniel, this is a long story. Rev jackson james is a obvious hack that is trying to ride my coatails to blogosphere greatness. My lawyers have talked to his lawyers. I think there is a settlement in the works but I can't talk about it yet. |
